Is she really already 1-year old?!?!?!?!?!?!
How 'bout those cakes!!!
Aren't these precious:o The first one is Lily's "smash" cake. I couldn't pass that up! She wasn't sure what she was supposed to do with it, but we got that ball rollin' quickly.
This is her actual birthday cake. I loved it! It turned out so much better than I expected. Look at that detail! I have to say it's just a little better than whatever homemade "think" I would have come up with. They did a beautiful job and it was mighty tasty! In Robbie's words...we tore it up!!!

Just one week shy of Miss Lily's 1st birthday we went to Possum Kingdom Lake with Mimi and Papa. The 2-hour drive up there was pretty miserable for her (and us!!!), but once we got her on the boat it was smooth sailing. Lily loved watching Bubba do his tricks on the wake board and tube. She kept trying to climb to the back of the boat to get to him. At one point she climbed all the way back there just to try to take a nap...while the boat was crusin'! After a much needed nap and a good lunch, we headed back out on the water. Lily cheered and cooed as her Bubba flew all over the place on the tube. J is so good at all that!!! I was totally impressed:)~ Then, it was Lily's turn. I got on the tube with her while Papa pulled us very slowly back to the lake house. She absolutely loved it! When we got back to the dock, J came swimming to us and I got off of the tube. Not thinking, Lily rolled off the other side of it! I know, I know...someone should call CPS on this bad mom:( Anyway, Bubba was quick to the rescue and had her laughing in about 5 seconds. Whew!!! He (and we) calls himself a hero for his quick thinking:) We then swam for about 15 minutes before getting ready for the dreaded 2-hour miserable trip back home. Yep...it was a rough ride. Lily was not a happy camper, and everyone was exhausted. It's hard enough to go to the lake with all the work that goes into to it, but try it with a 1-year old! Yikes:) Needless to say she slept very well that night, but of course, her worry wart mom kept checking on her, worried about the whole "dry-drowing" thing that everyone is making a big deal about lately. But...We had a great time and look forward to going several more times before school starts again. Thanks Mimi & Papa!!!

Oh my...what do I say about this one:) Yes, they are 13, almost 14, and acting up to par!! Here is J and his best buds, Aaron and Robbie. They spend about 5 hours a day at the gym playing basketball and working out. When they do finally come home they eat everything in sight then head out the door to ride their bikes down at the park where they often "accidentally" end up in the little creek down there. I adore his friends and hope they continue to enjoy life the way they seem to these days! They are so much fun!!!!
